Kai Health, a medical AI company specializing in fertility care, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indira IVF, one of the world’s largest single-country IVF clinic networks, to conduct a pilot program and joint research using its AI-powered embryo assessment software, Vita Embryo.

Indira IVF operates more than 200 fertility centers across India with over 340 IVF specialists, making it one of the largest fertility care networks operating within a single country. The group also reports having recorded more than 200,000 IVF pregnancies to date, reflecting the scale of its clinical experience and infrastructure.

Under the MOU, the two organizations will pursue joint research related to clinical validation and embryo assessment. At Indira IVF, the research will be led by Dr. Vipin Chandra, Chief of Clinical & Lab Operations, and supported by Jayesh Shinde, Head of Embryology QA/QC, in close collaboration with the Kai Health team. Vita Embryo is an AI-powered medical software that analyzes Day 5/Day6 blastocyst images and provides quantitative information, including scores associated with the likelihood of clinical pregnancy and embryo ranking, to support embryo assessment and clinical decision-making.

Kai Health has also continued to build real-world clinical evidence for Vita Embryo in India. In a multicenter study across eight IVF clinics, the FHT-confirmed pregnancy rate increased by 6.6 percentage points following the implementation of Vita Embryo. The findings were presented at ESHRE 2026, one of the world’s leading meetings in reproductive medicine, held in London, United Kingdom, in July.

Dr. Vipin Chandra, Chief of Clinical & Lab Operations at Indira IVF, said, “A large IVF network provides a valuable environment to evaluate new technologies across diverse patient populations and clinical settings. Through this research, we look forward to assessing the clinical validity of Vita Embryo at scale and exploring its potential to support more consistent and standardized embryo assessment across centers.”

“Collaborating with Indira IVF, which operates a network of more than 200 centers, represents an important opportunity to further expand the global clinical use of Vita Embryo,” said Hyejun Lee, CEO of Kai Health. “Our work in India has already generated encouraging clinical evidence, including a higher pregnancy rate after the implementation of Vita Embryo. Through this pilot, we look forward to working closely with the medical team at Indira IVF and exploring opportunities for broader adoption and collaboration.”
